On Saturday, Sep. 10, we were happy to talk about Full-Moon Festival in Vietnamese culture and Japanese Culture.

 

Today is the Full - Moon Festival in Vietnam. So I would like to talk about this topic in more detail in tonight’s meeting.

In the meeting, let’s enjoy some traditional dances in Full-Moon Festival in Vietnam.

On Saturday, Sep. 3rd, we were happy to talk about Full-Moon Festival in Vietnam thanks to Ms. Yumi's experience.

 

Yes, as you know, Vietnamese children like Full-Moon Festival where they can receive a lot of toys and they can eat lots of Moon cakes and fruits after the harvesting season. When I was a child, we usually made toys by ourselves under the instruction of big brothers and/or sisters. In addition, the Moon Cakes used to be prepared by the parents and/or grandparents. However, recently, we can buy many things for the Full-Moon Festival in a much convenient ways. Despite of this change, there are so many activities in this Festival with lots of excited traditional dances which are not only attractive for the children, but also are excited for adults.

On Saturday, Aug. 27, we were happy to talk about this topic: “Praise and be praise”

Here are some questions we used to share our experience:

1. Do you usually praise someone or do you usually be praised by someone?

 

2. What do you do when someone praise you, even with a very small thing you have done?

3. Do you think that praise someone is an effective way to encourage them?

4. Is there any negative sides of praise?

5. Do you think that you will practice praising at least once a day? 

 

We had a nice time sharing our opinions and let's practice praising our family member every day! 

On Saturday, Aug. 20, we were happy to talk about this topic: “Self-growth”

Here are some questions we used to share our experience:

1. Do you think that self-growth is important for everyone?

 

2. What are you doing to achieve the self-growth for you?

There is a very special festival in Sendai from Aug. 6-8. That is Tanabata Festival. In this festival, Sendai is filled with colorful Tanabata decorations which are made of paper. Therefore let’s spend time to talk about the topic of “Festival”.

1.           Have you ever joined in Tanabata festival in Sendai?

2.           Please share with us one of the most interesting festivals in your home country.

3.           What is the important meaning of a festival?

July has almost passed, and we have reviewed what we have experienced in July in the meeting on Saturday July 30.

On Saturday July 16’s meeting, I have talked about this topic: “Disappointment”

 

1. What is the disappointment you ever have had?

2. Are you afraid of disappointment? If yes, what should you do to avoid it?

3. What should we do when we disappoint something?

By this meeting, we understood that "Disappointment" is not always bad, and in some cases, we need to find some positive things from it.

On Saturday July 9’s meeting, we have talked about this topic: “Forgiveness”

1. Do you think that “forgiveness” is one way to make your life happier?

2. Could you please share your experience on what you have forgiven or what you have been forgiven?

3. Do you think that it is better to forgive yourself first, and then forgive someone?

Last Saturday, 2022 July 2nd, we had a good time talking about “Living environment” in order to share our experience on how to have a better feelings/things for your living environment.

1. What are you doing to make your house more beautiful and pleasant?

2. Is this important to choose a house with a good living environment?

 3. Among various factors determining your living environment such as with tree, garden, neighbors, and so on, what is your priority to choose a house?

On June 18, 2022, we are talking about a close topic on "Food" with the following suggestion: 

1. Do you usually take good care of your daily meals? and why do you do so?

2. Are you using a supplemental and why? 

3. Do you think that the nutrition you obtain daily is very important to make you strong?

On June 11 (Saturday), we were talking our Plan in June about these questions.

After the meeting, we understand that all are busy, then please make a careful schedule so that you can do everything you planned in June efficiently.

Last Saturday, 2022 May 28th, we were happy to talk about this topic: “Review”                             

We shared our experience on the following questions:                                                                           

1. Do you often make reviews for your plan every month?                                                                   

2. Do you think that doing a review should be done after you make a plan?                                       

3. Do you think that making a monthly review helps you follow your plan efficiently?

On Saturday, 2022 May 21th, we have learnt from each other on how to be good at  “Time management”. Our participants have shared the following points:

2. When you are busy, what are you doing to manage the time? (Or when you were busy, what you have done to manage the time)                                                            

3. What are you doing to manage your time?                                                                                         

4. Do you think that you will have more free time if you could manage your time efficiently?

This Saturday, 2022 May 14th, we were happy to talk about this topic: “The Acknowledgment”       We have shared our attitude and experience on the following questions:    1. Do you think that the Acknowledgment usually motivates people to try harder in doing something?                                                                                                                    2. Do you usually acknowledge someone and/or yourself, even though only a tiny achievements have been done?                                                                                              3. Have you ever Acknowledged someone who did something not good for you?                           

We also had a nice time talking about Female and Male Vietnamese football teams.

On Saturday, 2022 March 5th, we were happy to have the first meeting of this project. We hope that all participants would not only have a good time talking in English, but also share their experiences and learn from others the necessary daily activities, skills, routines to become HAPPY ever after.
